Are Friends of Conservation familiar with Tarsius (Tarsius fuscus) and Dare Black Monkey (Macaca maura)? Both of these unique primates can be found in the Karaenta Forest of Bantimurung National Park. However, they have currently been threatened with extinction due to their fragmented habitat and conflicts with humans. Mira Kumala Ningsih and Suryanto comprehensively discuss the two primates in the paper entitled "Unique Primates in Pattunuang-Karaenta Forest of the Bantimurung-Bulusaraung National Park " in Swara Samboja Magazine Vol VIII/No 1/2019.

Furthermore, Mira Kumala Ningsih and Ardiyanto Wahyu Nugroho share the excitement when climbing and investigating implementation of ecotourism principles in  Mount Bulusaraung at the same time in their article entitled "Ecotourism of Mount Bulusaraung: the Travel Experience and the Concept of Ecotourism Development".

In the article column, Adi Susilo discusses the existence and changes in behavior of long-tailed monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) in the Muara Angke Wildlife Reserve (SMMA) and the Angke Kapuk Protection Forest (HLAK) in an article entitled "Long Tailed Monkeys in Muara Angke Mangrove: Beggars’ and Scavengers’ Gloomy Future ".

On the other hand, Ulfah Karmila Sari discusses the use of regional space in her article entitled "Various Uses of Ex-Mining Area". In this article, Ulfa explains various forms of the utilization and some important things that need to be considered in utilizing ex-mining land.

Bina Swasta Sitepu and Mukhlisi further explore the concept of determining protected species in Indonesia in their article entitled "Overview of Criteria for Protected Wildlife Species in Indonesia". Analysis on the determination of protected wildlife species and strategic actions to develop the concept of their conservation is outlined briefly in the article.

In this edition, Swara Samboja presents an inspirational figure from FORDA MoEF, namely Dr. Dwi Sudharto, who acted as the Director of the Center for Forest Product Research and Development (P3HH). He shared P3HH’s remarkable experiences and achievements greatly contributing to the forestry sector development such as SVLK, AIKO, and Xylarium Bogoriense. Greetings!*
