Deepened Bioacoustic Method, Balitek KSDA Learnt from UW-Madison
Balitek KSDA (Samboja, February 2019) _Bioakustik is an interdisciplinary field that bridges biology and acoustic science, which uses sound technology to measure biodiversity and fauna environment. In an effort to explore this method, researchers from Research Institute for Natural Resources Conservation (Balitek KSDA) Samboja studied with Zuzana Burivalova, PhD from University of Wisconsin Madison (UW-Madison), in Samboja, late January.

BP2TSTH Together with Minas-Tahura KPHP Model Built Red Jabon Demonstration Plots in Tahura Sultan Syarif Hasyim Area
BP2TSTH (Kuok, February 2019) _ In collaboration with the Minas-Tahura KPHP Model, Forest Plant Fiber Technology Research and Development Institute (BP2TSTH) Kuok built a red jabon demonstration plot in Tahura area of Sultan Syarif Hasyim. Activities based on Cooperation Agreement on Collaboration on Management of Sultan Syarif Hasyim Tahura in the Minas-Tahura l KPHP Model area, are carried out in an area of ± 2 ha.

Grass Barrier Technique, Capable to Press Erosion Rate at Merapi Up to 88%
Balitek DAS (Surakarta, February 2019) _The vegetative conservation technique with grass barrier is applied in restoration of land damaged by eruption of Mount Merapi in 2010. The results of the research show that the use of gamal grass barrier (Gliricidia sepium sp.) and vetiver root (Vetiveria zizaniodes sp) combined with manure, can reduce the rate of soil erosion due to wind in region up to 88%.

Green School of Medan Learned to Maintain Nature to Aek Nauli
BP2LHK Aek Nauli (Aek Nauli, January 2019) _"Green School" is one of the principles applied in Bangun Insan Mandiri (BIM) High School in Medan, including being realized by learning to preserve nature. At the end of this January (24/1), with the theme "Explore of Toba Lake", Medan BIM students conducted a field study in Forest Area with Special Purpose (KHDTK) and aroboretum Aek Nauli.
