BP2LHK Aek Nauli (Sipahutar, Januari 2019)_Dengan klon unggul, pertumbuhan kemenyan Toba ternyata bisa mencapai 4 meter dalam 2 tahun. Angka yang sangat signifikan dibandingkan dengan pertumbuhan pada umumnya ini dijumpai pada tanaman kemenyan klon hasil perbanyakan vegetatif yang dilakukan BP2LHK Aek Nauli bekerjasama dengan PT. Toba Pulp Lestari.

Closing the year 2018, Reserchers of Balitek KSDA published Swara Samboja Magazine Vol VII / No 3 / Th 2018 with the theme "Hunting for Medical Prescription in Haratai" written by Noorcahyati, one of medical researchers at Balitek KSDA. This paper is a record of the journey of documenting various prescription drugs from ethnic Dayak Meratus in Haratai. Haratai is a village near the tourist area of Haratai Waterfall in Loksado District, South Hulu Sungai Regency, South Kalimantan.

Balitek DAS (Surakarta, Januari 2019)_Di penghujung tahun lalu, kita dikejutkan dengan kabar bencana longsor di Desa Cimapag, Cisolok, Sukabumi. Prihatin dengan kejadian tersebut, Ir. Heru Dwi Riyanto, Peneliti Balitek DAS menyatakan, sebetulnya risiko bencana longsor dapat dikendalikan. Rekayasa vegetatif adalah solusinya.
