Business Development, Forest R&D Center Assists With Agroforestry Technology Transfer and Coffee Processing

Puslitbanghut (Lampung,10/04/2018). Agroforestry is one of the forest management system aimed to reduce the forest destruction/encroachment and improving the livelihood of the farmers sustainably. This was said by the Head of Forest R&D Center, Dr. Kirsfianti L. Ginoga during the Agroforestry Sytem Technology Transfer and Coffee Processing to support Forest-Based Agribusiness event at Sumber Bandung Village, Pagelaran Utara Sub-district, Pringsewu District, Lampung, on April 10-11, 2018.

Bantimurung Bulusaraung Need to Attract More Butterflies to Attract More Tourists

BP2LHK Makassar (Makassar, 11/04/2018). Improvement on butterflies is needed to attract more tourists to visit Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park (TN Babul). This is the recommendation of a research conducted to learn about the appeal of the butterflies to tourists. “The management need more butterflies to strengthen the image of butterflies kingdom as the main feature that differentiate TN Babul from other tourism spots,” said Indra Ardi S.L.P.P, S.Si, M.Sc, BP2LHK Makassar researcher.

BP2LHK Manado Participated in the 10th Indogreen Environment & Forestry Expo 2018

BP2LHK Manado (Samarinda, 08/04/2018)_R&D Center for Environment and Forestry (BP2LHK) Manado participated in disseminating the Center for R&D and Innovation of LHK Ministry (BLI-KLHK) in the 10th Indogreen Environment & Forestry Expo 2018 at Samarinda Convention Hall, from April 5-8, 2018. Sharing booth with BLI-KLHK, they shared conservation materials such as Anoa Breeding Centre and Save Anoa, gaharu development, white oyster mushroom cultivation, pakoba and alternative medicinal plants.

Local Wisdom of Papuan Dani Tribe, an Example of Community Participation in Watershed Management

If the community living in upstream cannot maintain, it will affect the community living downstream. For His Contribution, A New Plant Species Is Named After BP2LHK Manado’s Researcher

BP2LHK Manado (Manado, 09/04/2018). A new species of Cyrtandra (Gesneriaceae) was named after Julianus Kinho, S.Hut, M.Sc, a researcher from R&D Center for Environment and Forestry (BP2LHK) Manado. This honor is given for his contribution in the discovery of 11 new species of Cyrtandra (Gesneriaceae).

P3KLL KLHK Team Ended The Sampling at Balikpapan Bay

P3KLL (Balikpapan, 06/04/2018). After four days of sampling on oil spill location surrounding Balikpapan Bay, the team from R&D Center for Quality and Environment Laboratory (P3KLL) KLHK ended their duty last Friday (06/04/2018). The field team will return to the P3KLL KLHK at Serpong the following day.
