Discussing the Changing Status of KHDTK Borisallo
BP2LHK Makassar (16/04/2018). Related to the changing status of KHDTK Borisallo, Center for R&D and Innovation held a discussion at BP2LHK Makassar office on April 11-12, 2018. The discussion was led by BLI Secretary, Dr. Ir. Sylvana Ratina, M.Si and several internal BLI Heads such as Center for R&D Technology KSDA Samboja, BP2LHK Banjarbaru, BP2LHK Kupang. Forestry Planology and Environmental Governance (PKTL) attended as an external party.

Field Study, 100 Forestry Student from Papua University Visited Papuaense Herbarium
BP2LHK Manokwari (Manokwari, 16/04/2018). After the revitalization last year, Papuaense Herbarium belonging to R&D Center of Environment and Forestry (BP2LHK) Manokwari resumes its role in disseminating science of research results. Last Saturday (April 14, 2018), 100 Forestry students from Papua University who had been awarded with BIDIK MISI Program from the Minister of Research and Higher Education, conducted field study in this herbarium.

Researching Medical Content of Gaharu, BP2LHK Banjarbaru Researcher is Conducting Ethical Clearence
BP2LHK Banjarbaru (Banjarbaru, 16/04/2018). In researching the medical content of Gaharu, the gaharu research team is conducting ethical clearance at Faculty of Medicine, Lambung Mangkurat University at Banjarmasin, last Friday (April 13, 2018). From the ethical clearance, the proposal from the gaharu research team was declared test worthy with some revisions.

Learning About Nature, SD Muhammadiyah 01 Pematangsiantar Camped at Aek Nauli
BP2LHK Aek Nauli (Aek Nauli, 16/04/2018). Elementary School (SD) Muhammadiyah 01 Pematangsiantar held camping days at Camping Ground Arboretum of Center for Environment and Forestry (BP2LHK) Aek Nauli. Camping days to learn more about the nature is joined by 40 students from 6th grade who joined the Hisbul Wathan (boy scout) extracurricular.

Synergizing in Anoa Conservation, BP2LHK Manado and Partner Inked Cooperation Agreement
BP2LHK Manado (Manado, 10/04/2018). Last Monday (09/04/2018), a cooperation agreement (PKS) had been inked between R&D Center for Environment and Forestry (BP2LHK) Manado and PT. Meares Soputan Mining (MSM) and PT. Tambang Tondano Nusajaya (TTN), both are subsidiaries of Archi Group Indonesia. PKS inked at Fourpoint Manado Hotel is regarding assistance on facilities upgrades for Anoa Breeding Centre (ABC) owned and managed by BP2LHK Manado.

The Plus and Minus of Water Utilization from Lake Pengilon, Dieng
Balitek DAS (Solo, 13/04/2018). Lake Pengilon, one of the natural tourism spot at Dieng, Wonosobo, Central Java, brings a benefit to the potato farmers nearby. By utilizing the water from the lake during dry season, it has lower the number of unemployment and improving their livelihood. Farmers can enjoy an average income of IDR 17.6 million/ 0.45 hectare every 4 months.

Getting to Know Liberica Coffee, Jackfruit Scented Coffee from Peat Land
P3SEKPI (Bogor, 13/04/2018). The morning atmosphere at Mekar Jaya, Betara Sub-district, Tanjung Jabung Barat District, Jambi Province is complete with the freshly brewed Liberica coffee with strong scent of jackfruit and its taste evoking bitterness. This is the featured product of Mekar Jaya, with nearly all of its inhabitants cultivate the species as a livelihood. The Liberica coffee is popularly cultivated on peat land at Jambi and Bengkulu province.
