Getting to Know BP2TSTH Kuok’s Nursery
BP2TSTH (Kuok, 9/7/2018). To support the research activity, nursery is one of the facility owned by R&D Center for Forest Fiber Plantation (BP2TSTH) Kuok. In addition to provide plantations for the communities, BP2TSTH Kuok’s nursery is also utilized to introduce species of plants to children and place to conduct practice (internship or field practice) for vocational school students.

Dipterocarps R&D Result Supports Forest as Source of Economic Improvement to its Surrounding Communities
B2P2EHD (Samarinda, 5/7/2018). R&D Center for Dipterocarps Forest Ecosystem (B2P2EHD) held a seminar of R&D results on Wednesday (4/7/2018) at Dipta Grha Room, Samarinda. Wasian Journal Issued Latest Volume under the Accredited Status
BP2LHK Manado (Manado, 4/7/2018). After officially awarded the Regular Scientific Issue Accreditation (TBI) from LIPI last year, Jurnal Wasian Balai Litbang Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (BP2LHK) Manado issued Volume 5 Number 1 Year 2018, the first issue under the “accredited” status”.

An Overview of the 2018 Bamboo and Rattan Congress (BARC) 2018 in Beijing, China
P3HH (Bogor, 4/7/2018). On June 25-27, 2018 – a R&D Center for Forest Products (P3HH) researcher, Dr. Karnita Yuniarti participated in the 2018 Bamboo and Rattan Congress (BARC) held in China National Convention Center, Beijing. The global congress on bamboo and rattan was the first, held under the cooperation of INBAR (International Network on Bambu and Rattan) and China State Forestry Administration.

Developing Forest-based Community Business, Forest R&D Center Held Technology Transfer for Klanceng Honey Bees Cultivation
P3H (Sijunjung, 5/7/2018). Working together with AFOCO (Asian Forest Cooperation Organization), Forest R&D held a technology transfer for forest honey and klanceng honey cultivation for the community of Nagari Paru under the Sijunjung Protected Forest Management Union (KPHL), on Sijunjung, July 3-4, 2018.
