BLI Showcasing Innovation in the form of Publication on the 2018 Environment and Forestry Week Exhibition
BLI (Jakarta, 21/7/2018). Innovations from R&D and Innovation Center, Minister of the Environment and Forestry (BLI-KLHK) in the form of publications of research products, were presented during the Environment and Forestry Week Exhibition (PLHK), at the Jakarta Convention Center, from July 19 -21, 2018. Articles featured on scientific journals, brochures, or books published by task force under BLI, were highly sought after by the visitors, mostly students and environmentalist.

BLI (Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, Juli 2018)_Negara-negara ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) mengapresiasi dan mendukung penyusunan proposal bersama tentang pelatihan identifikasi kayu dan workshop pengembangan jejaring xylarium (perpustakaan kayu) lingkup ASEAN yang telah dilakukan Indonesia dan Philipina beberapa waktu lalu.

13 Tanjungpura University Students are Interning at Forest R&D Center
Puslitbanghut (Bogor, Juli 2018). To add their knowledge and experiences, 13 Tanjungpura University students will be interning at Forest R&D Center, Bogor. The internship for these West Kalimantan students will be conducted from July to August 2018. “Hopefully, you all can add your knowledge and experience while interning here,” said Dr. Kirsfianti L. Ginoga, Head of the Forest R&D Center.

B2P2EHD Facilitates Field Work Practice for Mulawarman University Students
B2P2EHD (Samarinda, Juli 2018). To facilitate the Field Work Practice (PKL) for Mulawarman University (Unmul) students, R&D Center for Dipterocarps Forest Ecosystem (B2P2EHD) held a meeting to discuss the materials and schedule, last Monday (9/7/2018). This meeting is a continuation of B2P2EHD acceptance of Unmul to conduct PKL a while ago.

B2P2EHD (Samarinda, 16/7/2018). One researcher and a staff from the R&D Center for Dipterocarps Forest Ecosystem (B2P2EHD), Supartini and Sidraha joined a training held by BUMN Samarinda Creative House, last Wednesday (11/7/2018). Attended by 15 participants of various backgrounds such as SME entrepreneurs, tourism agents, theater group, and government institutions, this training aims to add their skills in making promotional design.

Supporting the Strengthening of KLHK Policy Governance, BLI Held SOP Preparation Workshop
BLI (Jakarta, 16/7/2018). To support the strengthening of policy governance of the Minister of the Environment and Forestry (KLHK), the R&D and Innovation Body (BLI) held a Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) Preparation workshop last Monday (16/7/2018). “By updating the existing SOP to the changes of nomenclature in the KLHK, we can justify the importance of R&D Institution in the ministry,” said Dr. Ir. Sylvana Ratina, M.Si, BLI-KLHK Secretary.

BLI (Jakarta, 17/7/2018)_BLI, KLHK tak henti mempertahankan prestasi, 5 jurnal yang diterbitkannya kembali berhasil meraih status “Terakreditasi Peringkat 2”. Akreditasi tersebut ditetapkan dengan Keputusan Direktur Jenderal Penguatan Riset dan Pengembangan, Kementerian Riset, Teknologi dan Pendidikan Tinggi Republik Indonesia (Kemenristekdikti) Nomor: 21/E/KPT/2018, tanggal 9 Juli 2018 tentang Hasil Akreditasi Jurnal Ilmiah Periode I Tahun 2018.

Used by Communities, Infiltration Wells from BP2LHK Can Absorb Water from 35 Times Heavy Rains
BP2LHK Makassar (Makassar, 17/7/2018). To answer the issues on water sustainability, both on regional scale or on watershed (DAS) scale, researcher from R&D Center for the Environment and Forestry (BP2LHK) Makassar is developing physical-mechanic methods, one of them is in the form of infiltration wells that have been used by the communities. These methods will reduce or harvest the water runoff to improve the soil infiltration capacity.
