Present Research is Multi-disciplinary Research
BP2LHK Banjarbaru (Banjarbaru, 13/7/2018). To comprehensively approach a problem, the currently developing research is a multi-disciplinary research. The answer is coming not only from one field of science but from multiple field of sciences and various functions. The approach can be from one institution or even several or various countries.

Cendana Library en route to Accredited Library
BP2LHK Kupang (Kupang, 16/7/2018). Cendana Library, of the R&D Center of the Environment and Forestry (BP2LHK) Kupang is under a process of Accredited Library. This is marked by a visit from the accreditation team from National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (PNRI) to the library, last Wednesday (11/7/2018).

Summer School, Czech University of Life Sciences and IT Del Students Visited BP2LHK Aek Nauli
BP2LHK Aek Nauli (Aek Nauli, 13/7/2018). Students from Institute of Technology (IT) Del and Czech University of Life Sciences (CULS), visited the R&D Center for Environment and Forestry (BP2LHK) Aek Nauli, last Tuesday (11/7/2018). The visit was conducted as a part of the Summer School program, series of visits to some tourism spots around Lake Toba to learn about the culture and the industry.

BP2LHK Manado (Melounguane, 13/7/2018)_R&D Center for the Environment and Forestry (BP2LHK) Manado conducted audiences with stakeholders on Talaud Islands, North Sulawesi, last Tuesday (10/7/2018), including the visit to Bappeda of Talaud Islands, where they preents synthesis of R&D results “Community Based Natural Resources Governance on Border Islands” that they have been doing for 4 years.

BP2TA Contribution in Developing Watershed-Based RHL Model Village
BP2TA (Ciamis, 12/7/2018). BPDASHL Cimanuk-Citanduy is building Watershed-Based Forest and Land Rehabilitation Village Model (MDRHL) launched last Tuesday (12/7/2018). From eight main activities of the MDRHL development, one of them is done by R&D Center for Agroforestry Technology (BP2TA), in the form of construction of bamboo-based agroforestry plot with Multi-Purpose Tree Species (MPTS) combination and cattle, located in the upstream of Cinangka River on a 10-hectare land.

Evaluation Meeting, BP2LHK Manado Discuss Strategic Planning, PUI, Seminar Preparation
BP2LHK Manado (Manado, 9/7/2018). As a part of its commitment to keep and improve the performance quality, BP2LHK Manado routinely held Tri-monthly Performance Evaluation Meeting, like the one held in Thursday (5/7/2018), BP2LHK Manado held the Tri-monthly meeting for Q2 2018. Other than discussing targets and achievements, strategic planning, Science-Tech Center of Excellence (PUI) selection from MORTHE, and the preparation for upcoming seminar on October were discussed as well.

B2P2BPTH researcher won the Best Paper Award at the International Conference in Australia
B2P2BPTH (Yogyakarta, 11/7/2018). Dr. Ir. Asri Insiana Putri, MP, a researcher to R&D Center for Biotechnology and Forest Plantation Breeding (B2P2BPTH), received the Best Paper Award, on the 1st Global Conference on Health, Agriculture and Environment Science (GCHAES) 2018. Her paper titled “Sprouting Ability in Micropropagation of Leban (Vitex pubescens): The Medicinally Important Tree”, received the best paper award for Agriculture category.

P3KLL - KLHK and National Accreditation Committee Inked Cooperation Agreement
P3KLL (Semarang, 10/7/2018). As a follow-up to the cooperation initiated on May 2018, R&D Center for Quality and Environment Laboratory (P3KLL), one of the R&D Center under the R&D and Innovation Body, Minister of Environment and Forestry, inked cooperation agreement with the National Accreditation Committee (KAN) in Semarang, last Tuesday (10/7/2018). “These are just small sustainable steps, by strengthening the implementation level,” said P3KLL Head, Herman Hermawan in his speech.

Balitek KSDA Assists Students to Learn Medicinal Plants and Herbarium
Balitek KSDA (Samboja, 11/7/2018). R&D Center for Technology KSDA (Balitek KSDA) Samboja provides technical assistance to six students from Mulawarman University (Unmul) and two Balikpapan Polytechnic (Poltekba) students, on Monday (9/7/2018). For one day, the students learned about medicinal plants and making herbarium sample.
