DAS Researcher: Stay Alert, Post EQ, Flash Flood Is Threatening Lombok
Balitek DAS (Solo, Oktober 2018). As a result of the past eartquakes (EQ), Lombok is currently under the threat of flash flood. Based on the identification by Balitek DAS’ researcher, Dr. Endang Savitri, more than 60% of Lombok Island is having potential of flash flood. Therefore, the R&D Center for Watershed Management Technologies (Balitek DAS) urge the communities living in Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) to stay alert.

Meares Soputan Meaning (MSM) - PT. Tambang Tondano Nusajaya (TTN) belong to Archi Group, conducted Inhouse Training for their Environment Department, of which one of their agenda is held at BP2LHK Manado office, last Tuesday (2/10/2018).

Disseminates Science-Tech to Its Users, Balitek DAS Held a Press Conference
Balitek DAS (Solo, Oktober 2018). R&D Center for Watershed Management (Balitek DAS) Solo continues to disseminate its science-tech from its R&D activities to various users so it can be used. To reach users of various groups in Surakarta (Solo) and its surrounding, Balitek DAS is working with media by hosting a press conference at Balitek DAS Solo office, last Thursday (27/9/2018).

‘Quality Seeds’ from SMPIT Salman Al Farisi Visited B2P2BPTH Seed Nursery
B2P2BPTH (Yogyakarta, Oktober 2018). Rasyid Yuhdi, M.Pd., Plt Head of SMPIT Salman Al Farisi said that if B2P2BPTH owns a seed nursery, in his school, SMPIT Salman Al Farisi all the teachers/ustaz are also nurtuting and planted ‘quality seeds’. This was said by the Science teacher during his speech while escorting his students to visit B2P2BPTH, last Tuesday (2/10/2018).

B2P2BPTH Participates on National KPH Festival and Pusaka 2018
B2P2BPTH (Bantul, Oktober 2018). Participating on National Forest Union Festival (KPH) and Forest Business Expo (PUSAKA) 2018 at Pinus Sari Mangunan Forest, last Friday (28/9/2018), Office of R&D for Biotech and Forest Plant Breeding (B2P2BPTH) joined the booth of BLI KLHK. Officiated by President Joko Widodo, B2P2BPTH featured seeds and cajuput oil, some species from tissue culture research, and publications of research results.

BP2THHBK and ICRAF Agreed to Develop KHDTK Rarung as Information Center, Education - Training Centre for Forestry and Agroforestry
BP2THHBK (Mataram, September 2018). After discussing about the potentials of development for Forest Area for Special Purpose (KHDTK) Rarung, R&D Center for Non-Wood Forest Products’ Technology (BP2THHBK) Mataram and World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF) agreed to make the KHDTK as the Information Center, Education and Training (Diklat) Center for Forestry and Agroforestry.

BP2LHK Makassar (Makassar, September 2018). Participated in the 4th National Seminar of Indonesian Forest Management Community in Medan, North Sumatera, last Wednesday (19/9/2018), researchers from R&D Center for Environment and Forestry (BP2LHK) Makassar presented five research papers.
