Peat Ecology Expert and Van Hall Larenstein University’s Professor Visited BP2LHK Banjarbaru
BP2LHK Banjarbaru (Banjarbaru, Agustus 2018). An expert on peat swamp from the Netherland, Dr. Peter Van Der Meer, visited the R&D Center of the Environment and Forestry (BP2LHK) Banjarbaru, last Monday (23/7/2018). Along with BP2LHK Banjarbaru’s researchers, Dr. Peter who is also a Professor at Van Hall Larenstein University, the Netherland, discussed about his observation results on Forest Area with Special Purposes (KHDTK) Tumbang Nusa, Central Kalimantan that he visited previously.

Lack of Staffs Hampers the Gully Erosion Management, Balitek DAS Provides Technology Transfer
Balitek DAS (Solo, Juli 2018). Head of R&D of Watershed Technology (Balitek DAS) Solo, Dr. Nur Sumedi said that the gully erosion management is currently undermined due to the lack of staff. This is stated during his opening speech to the event of Technology Transfer on Gully Erosion Management at Salaview Hotel, Solo, last Tuesday (24/7/2018).

Starting July 2018, Accreditation Process Through Single Channel
Balitek DAS (Solo, Juli 2018). Effective on July 2018, the accreditation process for scientific journal will be done through single channel, hosted by Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (MORTHE). This is said by Dr. Haruni Krisnawati, Researcher of R&D and Innovation Body (BLI) as the Editor in Chief Indonesian Journal of Forestry Research (IJFR) during the sharing session of Scientific Journal Management at Balitek DAS Solo Meeting Room, last Thursday (19/7/2018).

P3SEKPI Head Opened 1st Annual Meeting of KANOPPI-2 in NTT
P3SEKPI (Bogor, Juli 2018). Head of R&D Center for Social, Economy, Policy, and Climate Change (P3SEKPI) Dr. Ir. Syaiful Anwar, M.Sc., Tuesday (10/7/2018) opened the 1st Annual Meeting of KANOPPI-2 held in Ngada District, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province. In his speech, Syaiful said that the management of forest products, both wood or non-wood through agro-forestry is one of the strategy to develop community-based forest sector.

Environmental Education’s Love Triangle
P3SEKPI (Bogor, Juli 2018). Fresh – collaborative ideas are required to deal with the current environmental issues. Collaborative ideas can provide alternate resolutions in developing environment-friendly generation. The Love Triangle Concept offered by Latipah Hendarti from De Tara Foundation is one example of environment education initiative (PLH).

BP2LHK Aek Nauli Assists Student on Honey Bees Cultivation
BP2LHK Aek Nauli (Aek Nauli, Juli 2018). As a part of its technical services, R&D Center of the Environment and Forestry (BP2LHK) Aek Nauli is providing technical assistance on honey bee cultivation to a student of Biology Faculty, Medan State University (UNIMED) and five Simalungun University (USI) students.
