BP2LHK Banjarbaru’s Researcher Awarded Most Favorite Poster during the 2018 National Seminar on Technology and Innovation
BP2LHK Banjarbaru (Banjarbaru, Juli 2018). A junior researcher to the R&D Center of Environment and Forestry (BP2LHK) Banjarbaru was awarded Most Favorite Poster during the 2018 National Seminar on Technology and Innovation. Titled “Utilizing Purun as Weaving Materials”, the poster made by Junaidah, S.Hut, MSc was the favorite among 15 other posters presented during the seminar.

B2P2BPTH Synergizes “Superior Wood R&D to Improve Pulp Industry Productivity” with BBPK
B2P2BPTH (Yogyakarta, Juli 2018). R&D Center for Biotech and Forest Plant Breeding (B2P2BPTH) Yogyakarta received a visit from Office of Pulp and Paper (BBPK) Bandung, last Thursday (19/7/2018). The study visit was made to synergize both parties in strengthening the Science-Tech Center of Excellence (PUI). BBPK team was led by Ir. Heronimus Judi Tjahjono, MT., Division Head of Research and Standardization, also a Vice Head and Coordinator of R&D in PUI Management Team.

P3SEKPI (Bogor, Juli 2018)_Seperti diketahui, Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Sosial Ekonomi Kebijakan dan Perubahan Iklim (P3SEKPI) telah ditetapkan sebagai Pusat Unggulan Iptek (PUI) Kebijakan Perubahan Iklim dengan kategori pembinaan. Pembinaan tersebut berlaku selama tiga tahun, dimulai tahun 2018 dan berakhir pada tahun 2020.

BP2LHK Banjarbaru (Banjarbaru, Juli 2018 ). Several researchers and technicians of BP2LHK Banjarbaru, on last Thursday (19/7/2018) participated in the 2018 National Seminar of Technology and Innovation held by the R&D Center and Industrial Standardization Banjarbaru. Two of them attended as presenters in the event at Roditha Hotel, Banjarbaru.

Forest Plant Breeding Journal Acrredited by MORTHE
B2P2BPTH (Jakarta, Juli 2018). Recently, the Forest Plant Breeding Journal (JPTH) managed by R&D Center for Biotech and Forest Plant Breeding (B2P2BPTH) Yogyakarta received an accreditation from the Minister of Research and Technology and Higher Education (MORTHE) as the second accredited scientific journal. The certificate was awarded at LIPI’s Main Auditorium last Tuesday (17/7/2018) during the Socialization of National Scientific Journal’s Accreditation.

With ITTO and West Sumatra BKSDA, BP2TSTH Kuok Built Rare Species Conservation Plot at Gunung Sago Natural Tourism Park
BP2TSTH Kuok (Padang, Juli 2018). From January to February 2018, R&D Center for Forest Plant’s Fibre Technology (BP2TSTH) in cooperation with ITTO (International Tropical Timber Organization) and West Sumatra BKSDA Sumatera Barat build an ex-situ conservation plot at Gunung Sago Natural Tourism Park (TWA) located in Puncak Pato Sub-village, Batu Bulek Village, Lintau Buo Sub-district, Tanah Datar District.

BP2LHK Manado (Manado, Juli 2018). As a token of appreciation, PT. Cargill Indonesia - Amurang once again give donation to Anoa Breeding Centre (ABC) BP2LHK Manado. In 2018, through its CSR Program, PT. Cargill Indonesia – Amurang will build a animal clinic to support ABC BP2LHK Manado activities, which is also the first animal clinic in North Sulawesi province.

PUI Supervisor Challenges R&D to Improve Products for Private Sector
Balitek DAS (Solo, Juli 2018). R&D Institution needs to do various innovations to keep on improving their product quality by paying attention to the users’ needs. This was said by Dr. Djati Mardiatno, M.Si., Vice Head of Master Program on Watershed and Coastal Management, Faculty of Geography, Gadjah Mada University, who becomes the 1st Supervisor of Science-Technology Center of Excellence (PUI) for Watershed Based Disaster Mitigation.
