BP2LHK Aek Nauli Ended 2018 by Discussing R&D Results Report
BP2LHK Aek Nauli (Aek Nauli, Desember 2018). The R&D Center for Environment and Forestry (BP2LHK) Aek Nauli conducted discussion over the R&D Results Report (LHPt dan LHPg), last Tuesday, December 18, 2018. The event, held at the Library Hall of BP2LHK Aek Nauli, other than attended by the structural officials, researchers, and R&D technician of the Center, were also attended by speakers from North Sumatra University (USU); Dr. Delvian SP, MP and Pindi Patana S.Hut, M.Sc.

P3KLL Discusses 2018 R&D Results
P3KLL (Serpong, Desember 2018). R&D Center for Quality and Environment Laboratory (P3KLL) discussed the 2018 R&D results on December 20-21, 2018 at P3KLL Auditorium, Serpong. The aim is to get inputs on the R&D results report that has been cone and achieved by the researchers and functionalist of Environmental Impact Controller (Pedal), to make it perfect.

P3HH held FGD to discuss AIKO Implementation
P3HH (Jakarta, Desember 2018). The R&D Center for Forest Products (P3HH) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to discuss the implementation of Automatic Wood Identification Tool (AIKO) for the community at Manggala Wanabakti, Jakarta, last Wednesday (19/12). AIKO is a innovation of synergy among P3HH and the R&D and Innovation Body (BLI) with the Center for Research and Information LIPI.

BLI (Serpong, Desember 2018). The Forest R&D Center (P3H) and the R&D Center for Social-Economic Policies and Climate Change (P3SEKPI) were appreciated by awarded the Science-Tech Center of Excellence (PUI) for 2019-2021.

BP2LHK Manado Awarded Science-Tech Center of Excellence (PUI)
BP2LHK Manado (Tangerang, Desember 2018) R&D Center for Environment and Forestry (BP2LHK) Manado, an unit under the R&D and Innovation Body, Minister of Environment and Forestry (BLI-KLHK) has been awarded Science-Tech Center of Excellence (PUI) for 3 (three) years in the row, from 2019-2021. It is not easy to be awarded PUI, took around 8 months of selection processes before eventually BP2LHK Manado awarded Science-Tech Center of Excellence (PUI) from 2019-2021.

Integrated Disaster Early Detection System, Requires Community Participation
BalitekDAS Solo (Yogyakarta, November 2018). The integrated disaster early detection system is very important to have and implemented in Indonesia. Such system can prevent or minimize the losses borne by the community due to disaster. Involving the community in developing such system is essential. Why? First, because they are the one who directly impacted by the disaster. Second, they usually possess the local knowledge and experience in facing disaster, providing valuable inputs in the system.
