[FORDA] _Six State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in FORDA, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) participated in the Competency Test for Functional Position on Thursday (4/2/21). Four ASNs from the Secretariat of FORDA, as well as 2 ASNs from the Research and Development Center for Environment and Forestry (BP2LHK) Manado participated in the competency test for Functional Positions.
Environmental laboratories in Indonesia have entered a new phase. The Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) has issued a Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry (No. P.23/ MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM.1/10/2020 concerning Environmental Laboratory. This regulation is about accreditation, registration and information; supervision, evaluation, guidance, complaint mechanisms, penalty, and funding; as well as laboratory appointment for a specific purpose and time.

[FORDA] _Wednesday morning, February 3, 2021, in the front yard of the Research and Development Center for Forest Plant Fiber (BP2TSTH) Kuok, three cars with BA plate IDs were parked. The vehicles were carrying the Deputy Mayor of Sawahlunto and Commission II of the Regional Representative Council (DPRD) of Sawahlunto City. [FORDA] _The earthquake hit West Sulawesi on Thursday, January 14, 2021, has caused many casualties, resulting in house and infrastructure damages. Most residents affected by the earthquake moved to emergency tents due to fear of aftershocks. Even after the earthquake, there were still many residents still stay in emergency tents, because most of their houses were badly damaged or even destroyed.
To ease the burden on the communities affected by flooding, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) through its Work Unit in South Kalimantan Province is showing empathy and care by forming the MoEF Flood Rapid Response Team. According to Hermiati, a researcher from BPP Biomaterials, the availability of lignocellulosic material in nature has the potential to become a raw material for renewable energy.
